Green Wall Design: Installation and Maintenance focuses on techniques, strategies, and best practices around the design, installation and maintenance of green wall systems. This course provides designers and installers with the tools and techniques to implement high quality, long lasting green walls and facades in a variety of settings. Green wall systems are complex, multidisciplinary technologies that offer a wealth of hard and soft benefits. They can enhance indoor and outdoor environments, and communicate a direct connection and interface with the natural environment. Ensuring that these systems are properly planned, implemented, and maintained is crucial to their long term success and survival, as well as protecting the superstructure on which they are installed.

Your Instructor
Blaine Stand is an anthropologist specializing in sustainability planning and implementation with the ultimate goal of developing communities that are healthy, equitable, and resilient. With a focus on human interaction with the built environment, he examines how people influence and are influenced by the environment and policies around them, and how sustainable infiltrations translate both hard and soft benefits to the communities in which they are installed. As Green Roofs for Healthy Cities' Professional Resources Manager, he oversees the development and deployment of professional training opportunities, industry resources, policy advocacy, and member services.
