As a pioneer of leading-edge sustainable site/restorative planning and design methods, he has supported professional teams, institutions, and agencies in the use and adoption of ecologically grounded policies, principles and practices. A long-time champion of site/landscape performance, David is a Consulting Landscape Architect/Ecological Planner based in Grand Rapids, MI and currently serves on several boards and committees locally and nationally, including the Grand Rapids (MI) Green Stormwater Infrastructure Task Force, and is Board Chair for the Green Infrastructure Foundation (GIF), supporting the widespread deployment of living green infrastructure in cities throughout North America.
